The Florida Baptist Historical Society has within its collection of research resources bound copies of most of the 85 different associations organized in Florida between 1835 and 2015. One of the most efficient ways to undertake Baptist research is through the reading of original associational minutes. The problem has been that the minutes are inaccessible, old, rare or brittle and handling them is a damaging exercise. Researchers need the information but the work is counterproductive due to the damage done to original documents.
We are pleased to now be able to provide Annuals from the earliest Florida Baptist associations. See the listing that follows. The Society has the goal, as budget resources permit, to place as many of these associational minutes on this website along with a functional search feature by name, place and subject index (on a select few).
